THE WOUNDED HEALER
Years ago I met a musician & we contemplated the idea of doing some work together. Some time went by and we got back in touch with each other reigniting these ideas for an album he had compiled called “Take Your Power Back.” We experienced a powerful creative process where we spent hours drafting sketches and playing music. I drew and he rehearsed his current body of work. We’d take breaks conversing on our deepest thoughts when it came time to creating art and seeking out spirit. This exploration took days & through it this vision came to me. The mythology of the wounded healer, the story of seeking to find our true self, convergence in the aether, the transcendental state evoked through ingesting the Fruit of the Gods. Decay, transformation, and regeneration. These ideas were a kind of lost language, an ancient technology cast in symbology, yet somehow helping to transcend time & space. A door opens from another place, in steps visions of magic encrypted lessons. The master awaits as the drum initiates manifestations through these doors of perception. The elements are crucial to ground the voyager in their astral transit and altered states. Heavy like stone, empty like the mind, clarified through a lesson under the stars, a conversation with god.
